With a lack of organised events over the past year, I am back to taking part in my own half marathons to raise money for the mental health charity 'Mind'. The continuing situation surround Covid-19 is having a huge impact on our mental health and Mind are protecting, supporting and saving lives. As we begin to come out of the other side, people are going to need more support than ever. Please see the link below and donate what you can to this amazing charity.

More info...

Mind are an incredible charity providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problems. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and in England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week.

Developing an understanding about physical and mental health has been a huge part of my life over the past few years. Throughout my adult life I have fought with my own anxiety and bouts of depression, and I have seen how mental health problems affect so many people around me.

Starting to run along with diet, nutrition, reading, yoga and spiritual growth have helped me in my journey, but having the support of others and talking has been the most powerful aid in helping me to make positive changes in my life.

I am no expert nor do I claim to have any expertise in this area, but I want to begin to help those around me in any way I can, by raising awareness, sharing experience and offering emotional and practical support.

Mental health problems are growing, with the rise of mobile phones and the internet we are more connected than ever before, yet people are feeling more isolated and alone. People should not have to suffer in silence, so please donate what you can to this amazing charity.
